Wabash Valley Goodwill (WV Goodwill), based in Terre Haute, Indiana, has been serving the Wabash Valley community since 1927. The organization operates 9 retail stores and one e-commerce store throughout its 12-county territory and employs approximately 200 individuals. To further our vision to strengthen the community by engaging people to achieve greater independence, we are striving to help the area with the introduction of the Excel Center of West Central Indiana, an adult high school where individuals can earn a tuition-free CORE 40 high school diploma.
Through its relationship with WV Goodwill, the Excel Center of West Central Indiana is able to help remove barriers to education and empower individuals to achieve their goals.
The Goodwill Excel Center awards industry recognized certifications and high school diplomas to adult learners in the Wabash Valley. With the help of Life Coaches, College and Career Readiness Counselors, high quality instructors, flexible scheduling, and support services students can take advantage of a flexible, rigorous, and relevant program.
Goodwill Workforce Enterprises (GWE) is the nonprofit entity formed to provide governance and oversight of the Excel Center of West Central Indiana. The Excel Center of West Central Indiana was granted a seven-year charter by the Indiana Charter Schools Board in December 2023.
The vision of the Excel Center of West Central Indiana is to future the mission of Goodwill, which is to improve the quality of life for people through employment and personal growth.
The mission of the Excel Center of West Central Indiana is to provide a rigorous, high-quality educational experience for adults to earn their high school diploma and prepare for future success in college or career.
